Business Development Manager, Home Based
My client is one of Europe’s leading Facilities Management firms and is part of a large group of Companies that has an annual turnover in excess of £15bn. The Facilities Management side of the business is one of the UK’s market leaders within the FM sector and employs over 15,000 people across the UK and Ireland. A multi award winning provider, they service high profile clients across a wide variety of sectors including both the public and private sectors.
Working within the Private Sector department and specifically the Industrial and Manufacturing sub sector of this department, it will be your responsibility to generate business and put bids together for primarily Hard FM and TFM packages for nationwide clients/contracts involved within the Industrial and Manufacturing sectors. Reporting in to the Business Development Director and working as part of a close-knit team, you will own the business development lifecycle to win large, complex and profitable new contracts. In addition to identifying and targeting new clients to develop, you will also be able to leverage existing relationships and increase organic growth from within the existing client base and renewals of current contracts.
You’ll have a National remit and have flexibility in terms of your work base. It’s envisaged that you’ll normally split your time each week, being home based. In return, you’ll receive a base salary in the region of £55-£65k, based on experience, a company car or car allowance equivalent of £5-£6k and a generous bonus scheme which is directly related to sales targets and contract value.
This is going to be a critical role for the business and therefore they need someone that already has BDM experience within the FM sector, specifically working on contracts of £1m plus for clients across the Manufacturing and Industrial sectors. If you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of this, they will want to hear from you. You’ll naturally be competitive, driven and motivated and you’ll benefit from an excellent name in the market place to ‘sell’ that has some genuine differentiators from their competition in terms of overall service offering.
