Business Development Manager, London / Birmingham / Manchester
A specialist provider of electronic security solutions, primarily in to critical, complex and highly regulated environments, is seeking a Business Development Manager, capable of helping to drive the business further forward. Circa £25m turnover and the business is still growing. This business has high level accredited partners across software and hardware and operate in an agnostic way in terms of suppliers, ensuring that the end user gets exactly what they need and also ensuring that you’re able to deliver on very specific remits, keeping things very interesting.
Solutions selling in to sectors including CNI, Rail, Government Agencies, Nuclear, MOD and HMP, amongst others. Some account management and cross selling but mainly hunting and delivering new business and developing a strong sales strategy and pipeline. They are happy to do business nationally and so your location won’t be too important – you’ll likely work from home, more often than not.
All the usual – driven, competitive, determined, credible etc. But above all a great ‘solutions’ seller – this isn’t necessarily a massive numbers game, it’s about ensuring the solutions are correct and fit for purpose and maximising profitability in the process. Not just any BDM will be successful in this role, but BDM’s with strong contacts within critical, complex and highly regulated environments who enjoy problem solving and tailoring specific solutions will do very well indeed.
£50 - £60k base, dependent on experience, plus bonus and corporate package.
