INTERIM Head of Property & FM (Luxury Retail)
Our client is an iconic luxury retail venue who require an Interim Head of Facilities Management. The business operates from a large and complex central London location and various satellite premises which is also part of the roles remit.
The Interim Head of Property and Facilities Management is responsible for the management of the building and equipment maintenance programmes and the leadership of the internal FM teams. This interim assignment is to bring structure (leadership) and efficiency in the way that internal team operates. On an operational level it is to ensure the business is statutory compliant and risks are mitigated and the internal teams have direction and structure. The role is to also plan and oversee building work, projects which may be small changes to retail trading space through to much larger and more complex renovations involving structural alterations and technical M&E improvements.
On a more strategic level the assignment is to recommend more effective practices and procedures, have the right balance of internal and external support and look at business cases for real estate changes and larger long-term building projects.
With this being an interim assignment we are looking for candidates who are available immediately or at short-notice. Contractors, and consultants may also be considered. You will have senior facilities management experience with a track record of delivering business benefit within fast paced retail or hospitality environments. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required to influence at all levels across the business and translate complex technical terms to senior management teams. This is a leadership role so past experience of team management and development and driving improvements in efficiency is also important.
