Head of Procurement
My client Bellrock are a leading business in technology enabled facilities management and property services, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the Head of Procurement is responsible for;
- Providing strategic leadership to the procurement team, ensuring delivery of the 2017/18 Bellrock Procurement vision and strategy
- Establish, execute and maintain a category management approach to spend management and cross-functional working to ensure the buy-in of all internal stakeholders to gain commercial advantage
- Manage a small but focused team of category buyers, demonstrating leadership capability through understanding the team’s abilities, mentoring and coaching as appropriate to deliver the agreed goals
- To position and lead procurement within the business as being a ‘Value Creator’ and ‘Enabler’
The successful candidate will need to have at least 10 years procurement management experience including at least 2-3 years at a senior management level, within an FM or property environment. You will need to have experience of buying services rather than products and be educated to CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) professional stage or be progressing towards this. With excellent communication skills, you will need to be a self-starter, team player and a strong analytical and conceptual thinker. With a demonstrable track record of delivering against savings targets and leading procurement teams successfully within complex multi-stakeholder environments.
