Building Operations Administrator
Shakespeare’s Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare's work and the playhouses for which he wrote, through the connected means of performance and education. Together, the Globe Theatres, Globe Exhibition & Tour and Globe Education seek to further the experience and international understanding of the dramatic art in all its forms, but principally in relation to Shakespeare in performance.
The Building Operations department is responsible for the delivery of a cost effective, client- focused building and facilities management service for Shakespeare’s Globe. This includes responsibility for the main site at 21 New Globe Walk and the buildings owned and operated in the wider Globe campus in nearby Bankside.
The Building Operations Administrator is responsible for providing detailed financial and general administrative support for the activities of the Building Operations Department. This is a key role ensuring the smooth running of the department, and organising purchase orders; processing invoices and collating reports. The department provides services and support for all of Shakespeares Globe and as such the post-holder will also be responsible for providing administrative duties in a collaborative and supportive manner.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational and inter-personal skills and a proven ability to work both within a team and on their own initiative; they will have a significant experience in facilities administration. Previous experience of dealing with invoicing and purchase ordering and an interest in Health and Safety would be an advantage.
