With the continued growth of the University Group the Safety and Risk Management team is seeking an experienced soft landings co-ordinator to join the team
The main focus of the role is to support and facilitate activities to ensure that clients and building users are able to migrate into usable and fit for purpose buildings.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Estates -Risk Management you will work with colleagues across the estates team and will co-ordinate customer care and transition building users from construction phase to operational readiness forestates building and refurbishment projects.
This role gives an opportunity to experience a wide variety of workplace activities and environments ranging from complex building projects to staff migrations. The University is an exciting, constantly developing workplace, and the ability to provide pragmatic support is essential if our softlandings programme is to continue to be a success.
You will be part of a small team providing advice, support and information to estates teams and building users, assisting them in delivering the estates softlandings strategy.
The ideal candidate will possess a first degree or post-graduate qualification in a facilities or building related discipline and will ideally hold membership of British Institute of Facilities Management or equivalent. They will have experience of implementing BSRIA or Government Softlandings Frameworks and have at least two years experience in a client facing facilities management role. A formal project management qualification such as Prince 2 or equivalent is also a requirement of the post.
They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, they should be self led but able to work collaboratively within the team. The successful candidate will have a passion for customer focus, a can-do attitude, team-focused outlook and excellent interpersonal & IT skills. They will be adaptable, have good attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and will be keen to develop within the role.
