Finance & Project Support Manager
Purpose and Main Duties:
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the financial management, reporting and general office coordination required by the Birkbeck Estates Development team as we embark on the delivery phase of the College’s £150M Estates Strategy over the next 5-6 years.
We are a small team looking to recruit and experienced finance professional with a clear focus in the built environment, either from a contractor or client-side background.
The role is integral to the continued success of the department and the right candidate will be highly motivated, prepared to take on a variety of responsibilities and able to work both on the their own or as part of a team comprised of both internal colleagues and external contractors.

Salary: Grade 7 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £37,169 rising to £42,483 per annum.
This post is full time, 35 hours per week (1.0 FTE) and is fixed term maternity cover for 15 months. The salary quoted above is on the College's London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
