Electrical Maintenance Supervisor - Temp to Perm
I am currently recruiting on either a temp to perm basis, or straight permanent, a Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. This fantastic opportunity, would be ideal for someone who has worked on the tools and is now looking for their first step up into management. Main duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Develop and lead a team to be a market leading reactive and planned maintenance service, valued by our customers at all time.
Ensure constant and strong communication links are maintained with customers on all their requests for planned and reactive maintenance.
Lead on all aspects of reactive maintenance and support customers when issues are stopping normal operations in and around buildings. Be proactive and review these cases and put measures in to reduce future incidents.
Manage a team of Technicians, Contractors, Apprentices and Maintenance assistants effectively and pro-actively.
Be a single point of contact for Helpdesk/Protection to get updates on reactive and planned works.
Review frontline workload and KPI's on a regular basis and ensure all staff are productive at all times. Benchmark all targets and regularly review performance feeding back on a 1:1 basis with staff.
Work remotely and be a mobile and visual contact around campus promoting Estates services and liaising with key customer contacts on major issues in and around campus. Be fully contactable and maintain good communication links with managers and helpdesk at all times.
Contribute to continuous improvement and lean process reviews for all aspects of workload management. Continually strive to improve services.
Monitor KPI's including priority response times, right first time repairs, chase recalls, travel time and customer complaints. Target performance improvements in all of these areas and any others appropriate to the job.
Regularly review stores and van stock materials and ensure levels meet the needs of the service. Authorise and ensure value for money on any non stock items purchased.
Experience required for the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Effective Management of a mobile maintenance team delivering a high volume of maintenance reactive works.
Effective workload Management of a large volume of contractors providing specialist reactive maintenance service i.e. HVAC, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Drainage etc.
Responsibility for all aspects of H&S related to managing contractors and in house staff. Be used to writing RAMS for all minor works.
Be used to methods of Lean processing and implementing process improvements
Have experience of working with disciplinary and HR process and procedure
Have experience of providing a value for money service and be business focused
Deliver regular overhead savings and strive to drive costs down
Good all round knowledge of mechanical, electrical and building fabric repairs.
Good use of FM software to resource plan
Good use of Finance packages and control of budgets
Generally good IT skills in using email, word processing packages and spreadsheets
Be environmentally aware and have a sustainable approach to all aspects of work
Other Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Full driving license
Be physically fit and able to work at heights
Work Monthly Rotating shifts 6:30 to 3pm and 12:30pm to 9pm Monday to Friday
Cover open days and work 5/7 as and when is required.
Take part in management callout rota
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, will be on a salary between £30,744 - £38,904 per annum. A very generous package. A fantastic work life balance. Shift pattern information:
Shift Rotas 6.30am to 3.00pm for 2 wks and 12.30pm to 9.00pm for the following 2 wks (36.5 hours per week and both shifts finishing 1 hour early on a Friday)
