An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Performance & Compliance Coordinator based at North Kent Police Station, Ebbsfleet, Kent.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the successful candidate to be responsible for ensuring that all Essex and Kent Police service contracts are managed effectively and efficiently delivering best value to both Forces.

Working as part of the Business Services Team you will have responsibility for the routine management of a number of Facilities Management contracts, including amongst others: cleaning, landscaping, catering, waste and fire management. Utilising your excellent interpersonal skills you will lead on regular review meetings with the contractors Key Account Managers, holding them to account for the delivery of services via the contract’s KPIs and Service Levels.

On a daily basis you will manage workflow via the Forces internal software system reviewing customer feedback, requests for additional work and contract variations. You will have experience of reviewing requests against the conditions of contracts to ensure that services are delivered according to defined terms and conditions.

This role requires strong team working skills as you will liaise and work on a number of Procurement projects assisting with the building of tender specifications and evaluating potential suppliers as they bid for work; your organisational and analytical skills will be invaluable in delivering successful projects which meet the Directorates objectives.

You will build a close working relationship with the internal Facilities Team supporting locally based Team Leaders with contract support in order that they can deliver an efficient support service to Operational Police Teams, Police Staff Employees and visitors to Kent and Essex Police.

With a diverse portfolio of buildings across both Kent and Essex you will quality assure suppliers work developing methods to establish that work has been completed to agreed specification and identifying opportunities for improvement, innovation and cost reduction in conjunction with the supplier.

You will have an understanding of Facilities Management supported by 3 years’ experience in the sector or the ability to evidence the required skills in another sector with exposure to contract and supplier management.

All contractors are subject to strict Health and Safety legislation and a formal qualification/ certification in Health and Safety would be advantageous or equivalent knowledge and experience to assist you in this aspect.

A full clean driving license is required for this role; based at North Kent Police Station you will have access to a Kent Police fleet vehicle which can be booked to assist completing your duties.
