Our client is recognised as one of the leading facilities, energy and project management providers in the UK & Ireland. The company operates from a strategic network of regional offices throughout the UK and globally where they have over 400 offices and employ over 70,000 people.
They are looking for an experienced Facilities Contract Manager to look after a large production environment site in Barrow-in-Furness
You will be directly responsible for a team of Mechanical and Maintenance Engineers on site. You will be tasked with ensuring that all planned and reactive maintenance is completed on site and n schedule. This will involve detailed day plans and key targets for the engineers to work towards. This will be done through tool box talks, day to day man management and regular appraisals. You will be the first point of contact for any technical issues, offering advice and generally supporting the engineers on site.
They currently have engineers 18 engineers based at the site which include boiler engineers, effulent engineers, electrical engineers and mechanical engineers
You will have ideally worked in a managerial role within a production environment in the past with an engineering background but will have a broad understanding of electrical and mechanical building services maintenance.
You will need experience in a similar role with a background in Mechanical or Electrical industry.

- Demonstrable previous experience managing a PPM system
- Must have a technical qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical
- Working knowledge of Computerised Facilities Management System - Maximo
- Previous experience in managing a team is essential
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Able to work in a demanding, and busy environment
