Ground-breaking contract working across a broad portfolio of properties including Commercial, Retail and Residential.

Brand new position with responsibility for a team of Engineers, working closely with a dedicated project team and offering excellent development over the term of the contract.

Client Details

My client is a large facilities service provider working on a mix of projects across London and UK. In particular, this project and client will involve maintaining and improving the standards found across their property portfolio in London.

They are an excellent employer who hopes to train up their staff and develop them into future leaders of the business. There will be plenty of opportunities on this project to develop your own knowledge as well as your career within the business.

The portfolio will consist mostly of residential, retail and commercial properties. They will be spread across London and you will be expected to travel to these sites to check on works directly. The main location for this role will be in Central London close to Piccadilly.

Description

Technical Services Manager - National Facilities Provider

The right person will be required to:

  • Support the Account Manager in developing the successful strategy for the Account
  • Ensure CAFM systems are in place to optimise the management of all planned and reactive works

  • Develops management resource plans to meet operational needs and effects change where required

  • Actively manage the Suppliers to deliver best value into the Account

  • Demonstrates and maintains a high level of operational and commercial knowledge and works closely with the delivery team to review techniques and solutions to meet business and customer needs

  • Early identification of business risks in projects and ensuring that risk management, risk registers and contingency are in place to manage a minimise risk

  • Ensures compliance across company portfolio

  • Be an effective team player and manager of individual personalities

Profile

Technical Services Manager - National Facilities Provider

The chosen Technical Manager for this role will be able to show a strong background working within a Hard Services Manager or Supervisor position. In the initial 12 months this position will mostly focus around managing Engineers and Technicians working on a number of maintenance and remedial works projects within residential properties.

After the initial 12 months, projects will involve PPM and Reactive Maintenance across the rest of the portfolio. Candidates coming into this position will ideally be in a stable role or be able to show a stable work history. Candidates should also have a high level of energy and a positive approach for this role. It is a new position and the team should be lead by example.

Candidates should have:

  • Positive management and development approaches
  • Excellent technical knowledge across several trade areas and hard (FM) services
  • Worked previously on a large portfolio of commercial, retail and residential properties across London
  • Experience managing growing teams (8+)
  • Excellent customer service skills / understanding of good service
  • Very strong problem solving and decision making skills
