OCS are looking to recruit a site lead for a high-value contract, in a well-known sports facility in South London. This is an opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking facilities contract manager to work in one of the most historic stadiums in the world, within our evolving Destinations & Venues sector.

Motivating and managing the onsite team (including. 4 direct reports), you will have full oversight of the operation and the contract in accordance with specification, legislation and company policies. Your aim will be to deliver fantastic Soft and Hard Facilities Management services, meeting budgets (£1.7million) and ensuring the recruitment, training, development and motivation of staff, as well as maintaining an internal succession plan for the future.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Making sure that OCS deliver an excellent service to The Oval (inc. Cleaning, Security and from time to time, Hard Services/Maintenance)
  • Continuously developing and improving quality and hygiene standards
  • Being hands-on when needed, if the client requires immediate action/repair
  • Maintaining awareness of relevant legislation and implement changes to procedures and processes in accordance with company guidance
  • Meeting client and company expectations and responding to any reasonable requests
  • Monitoring customer trends and demands
  • Ensuring that adequate products, equipment and materials are available to your staff to meet the contract standards and requirements
  • Ensuring that products, equipment and materials are properly stored, used, maintained, controlled and purchased in accordance with OCS procedures
  • Making sure pre-planned maintenance (PPM) programmes are implemented, monitored and recorded

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Good standard of education
  • Qualification in an engineer discipline or a proven track record in the building services sector would be desirable to assist in delivering hard services to the client when required
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • IT literacy - proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • MBIFM would be beneficial but not required

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Strong management experience across a range of service disciplines - Cleaning, Security, Hard Services
  • Full budget accountability, including P&L
  • Experience of managing a team of c100+ (mixture of permanent and temporary staff)
  • Knowledge of managing industrial multi-service contracts preferably including Soft and Hard FM and delivering to the client
  • Excellent personnel management skills
  • Strong motivational and team building skills
  • A resilient and robust nature
  • An autonomous self-starter who will take ownership of a diverse team
  • Customer focused
